Reliqui- arium
The wing of a goldfinch, the encrusted cephalotorax of a spider crab, wintersweet seedcases which had been eaten by mice: limbs of animals and plants.
Reliquiarium (2011) is a series of framed animal remamails. I collected those bodily fragments over few years, on the street or while travelling. Some were gifted to me. I framed them with golden frames, as it used to be done with relics of the Saints in the Catholic tradition.
Morphology
Animal body parts, velvet, gold foil, metal frame
Variable size framed relics
